Removing knots or matts from your pet’s fur

In this video, Dr. Tania will teach you how to remove knots or matts from your pet’s fur with your Vet in a Van – Navigator Pet First Aid Kit. Matts commonly occur between the pads or toes, around the ears, and under the arm pits, groin and tail causing discomfort and pain. Trimming matts can be tricky when they are close to the skin so Dr. Tania shows you a gentle technique with scissors to avoid cutting the skin. Keeping the fur short in these areas prevents more knots forming. If matting is extensive in your pet’s fur then using grooming clippers can make removal easier. It is simple and easy to trim matts from your pet’s fur in just a few minutes following these instructions. *
